Riverside Military Academy is a college preparatory school for boys.  The academy was established in 1907 to provide education and leadership among young boys, and the military model was selected to promote discipline and honor.

With an average class size of 15 students, pupils receive an interactive education. The spacious campus is located less than an hour northeast of Atlanta, Georgia.

The academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Riverside Military Academy is an Army JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction. All Riverside cadets in grades 9-12 participate in the JROTC program through military science classes called LET 1 to 4 (Leadership Education and Training). Participation in a JROTC program does not require military service in college or beyond.

Interesting Facts

The mascot for Riverside Military Academy is the Eagle, and the school colors are blue and white. Students participate in a 13 varsity sports and several intramural sports, including football, baseball, tennis, drill team, and soccer. Other extracurricular opportunities including drama, JETS-TSA Club, National Junior Honor Society, Music Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, yearbook, and many more. The campus is equipped with classrooms, dormitories, a performing arts facility, a library, fitness facilities, athletic fields, and an indoor rifle range.

Admission

Riverside Military Academy does not have a formal admission deadline. On average, 88 percent of students with completed applications are admitted. Admission is open to students from other states and countries. The academy currently enrolls students from 25 states and more than 20 countries.

Riverside Military Academy is recognized as one of the most affordable schools in relation to schools based on a similar model.

Graduation

While the admission percentage is higher than the national average for similar schools, Riverside Military Academy has a distinguished history of producing exemplary graduates. Some notable alumni include the father of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, distinguished artists and actors, an Olympic athlete, and multiple military leaders.

Graduates of Riverside Military Academy have been accepted to colleges and universities in Georgia, across the country, and around the world. Recent graduating classes have been awarded over $4 million in scholarship money for college.

The purpose of Riverside Military Academy is to develop virtuous and competent young men who are prepared for success in college and positions of responsibility thereafter. The academic and military programs combine to produce young men of character, sound judgment, and commitment. Riverside graduates will embody the characteristics of an educated and engaged citizen – one who is critical to the governance of a free republic.
